Solar park IJzerbroek of Sunvest is realizing a solar park with a total generated capacity of 16 MWp BELEAF has supported the former owner of Park IJzerbroek B.V. the successful sale (share transaction (M&A)) of the solar park.
Koen Linders, former owner of Park IJzerbroek B.V., took the initiative together with Sunvest in 2020 to realize two solar parks on a number of agricultural plots in the municipality of Mill and Sint Hubert. The planning area of the joint solar parks is located east of the village of Sint Hubert. This joint initiative has been designated by the municipality as one of the pilot projects for making the municipality more sustainable. The joint solar park is divided into two parts of approximately 5 hectares each. Both solar parks will be equipped with a total of approximately 30,000 solar panels, divided over the two fields. This is good for a total generated capacity of 16 MWp, with which more than 4,000 households can be supplied with renewable energy.
BELEAF has supported Koen Linders with the sale of solar park Park IJzerbroek to Sunvest. First, a number of options for the possibilities of further development and sales for Koen Linders were mapped out. After exploring and discussing the options, it was decided to first enter into discussions with Sunvest, given the existing relationship. BELEAF, together with Cees Advocaten (law firm), assisted Koen Linders in the negotiations with Sunvest, the assessment of the contractual conditions (purchase agreement for the purchase and sale of 100% of the shares of Park IJzerbroek) and the land agreement. On October 15, 2021, Koen Linders and Sunvest signed the purchase agreement. BELEAF looks back on a pleasant collaboration with Koen Linders and Sunvest. The project will be further implemented by Sunvest in mid-2022.
